Business Author Goes Global With Executive Briefings
U.S.-based Australian business leadership expert Keith Ayers launches CEO executive briefing tour with dates across America and Australia
WEST CHESTER, PA (August 4, 2008)-Business leadership guru Keith Ayers today launches an international tour of executive briefings coinciding with the release of his new book Engagement is Not Enough: You Need Passionate Employees to Achieve Your Dream. Ayers will deliver the two-hour breakfast presentations to CEOs and senior executives at 13 events in the U.S. and Australia.
The briefing, entitled Why Engagement is Not Enough, points out that leadership in business has abjectly failed to stimulate the kind of employee passion necessary to achieve lasting customer loyalty and long term profitability.
According to Gallup research, more than two-thirds of employees in the United States are not "engaged" while at work. "It's really a symptom of a wider problem," says Ayers. "Most employees come to work on their first day fired up and ready to go. Leaders need to ask themselves: what happens in the ensuing weeks and months to change that?"
For Ayers the only way businesses can lift themselves out of the paralysis of disengagement is for leaders to take responsibility for generating and maintaining passion in the workforce. "As CEOs we need to take a long hard look at the impact all leaders in our organization have on the workplace. Everything a leader does and says has an effect on employees. How can we make sure that impact becomes consistently positive across the organization? These briefings are my way of getting the message directly to CEOs that they can fix this problem and we can work together to make it happen."
